Malibu adds Cranberry-Cherry to its range

21 April, 2011

Pernod Ricard US has announced that Malibu has added Cranberry-Cherry to its range of rum liqueurs, following a vote by consumers.

The Malibu U Choose campaign, which ran during December, saw fans of the drink vote between Citrus, Cranberry-Cherry and Mint flavours on Facebook and via text message.

Cranberry-Cherry received 62% of the vote and now joins the Malibu liqueur portfolio of Coconut, Pineapple, Mango, Passion Fruit, Tropical Banana and Melon.

Malibu Cranberry-Cherry will be available in US retail during May and is priced at $9.99 for 75cl.

Sheila Senhouse, brand manager for Malibu at Pernod Ricard USA said: “We are busy preparing for the launch of Malibu Cranberry-Cherry, a great-tasting new flavour that fits perfectly in our growing family of refreshing and vibrant Malibu flavours.

“Engaging our consumers online and via their mobile devices has proven to be a dynamic and effective way to communicate and interact with them.”
