The volatile symptoms of climate change are looming larger over the wine world, Oli Dodd investigates.

California is the latest major wine-producing region to struggle with Mother Nature after a drought emergency gripped the Golden State.

The 2021 South African wine harvest has been estimated at 1,461,599 tonnes, 8.9% larger than in 2020.

South African wineries are now permitted to finish the 2020 harvest after the government added them to the list of essential businesses during the coronavirus lockdown.

The 2010 New Zealand grape harvest totalled 266,000 tonnes, 19,000 tonnes smaller than the 2009 crop and in line with the pre-harvest forecast.
