11 June, 2009

Argentine wine brand, Argento is set to launch its range of wines from Mendoza into the US this month. The Argento wine company has appointed importer Lion Nathan to introduce the Argento and Argento Reserva range to the US market. Varieties available will include Malbec, Bonarda, Cabernet Sauvignon, Torrontes, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay.

The launch comes on the back of recent distribution expansion into countries including China, Poland, Lebanon, Argentina and Australia and takes the number of countries in which Argento is available globally to 46.

Amelia Nolan, managing director, the Argento Wine Company said: “The Argentine wine category is currently the fastest growing import segment in the US, growing at 38.9%. With this stunning rise and the increasing popularity of Malbec, Argento is well positioned to quickly establish itself as a successful wine brand in the US.”
