Monteru Brandy applies Japanese Mizunara Oak finish

Monteru Brandy has become the first French spirit brand to finish a product in a Japanese Mizunara Oak cask.

Monteru Brandy Ippon is a blend of Folle Blanche grape varietal from 2012 (90%) and 2014 (10%) and was released at Vinexpo 2017 and only one bottle at this time is available, called the One of One. An additional ten bottles will be released in later this year.

Monteru is the first producer of single grape brandy using the traditional “double distillation” and the French brand has previousy used sherry, Sauternes and American oak cask finishes.
