Half Hitch launches in UK

01 September, 2014

Half Hitch has unveiled its 40% abv gin distilled in The Vaults, Camden Lock.

The gin’s name and bottle label originates from the rope knot used by those mooring up their barges along the Camden Lock since the 19th century – ‘a round turn and two half hitches’.

Mark Holdsworth, founder of Half Hitch, said: “My dream has been to bring back distilling to Camden Lock, re-connect locals’ appreciation of the hard graft of a tremendous industrial era, and produce a gin that will hopefully stand the test of time and stay forever in Camden Lock.”

Half Hitch has an RRP of £39.00 for a 70cl bottle and is available online from 8 September at www.halfhitch.uk.

Hazel: The second release from Sylva

As the name suggests, we’ve used hazel wood as the hero of this edition alongside other familiar, native broadleaf trees, including silver birch and oak from our own forest.
