Margot Robbie’s gin brand announces UK launch

04 June, 2024

Papa Salt Coastal Gin, the Australia-based gin brand co-founded by Margot Robbie, has announced that it is set to launch in the UK.

Papa Salt was developed by Robbie alongside her co-founders Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, Regan Riskas and Charlie Maas, in collaboration with Lord Byron Distillery in Byron Bay Australia.

"We are so excited to bring Papa Salt to the UK market," said Maas, Papa Salt's co-founder and chief executive

"We fell in love with gin in England’s wonderful pubs, clubs and bars, and we hope Papa Salt is a refreshing addition to the wonderful spirits culture of the UK.”

The recipe highlights distinct Australian botanicals including wattle seed, wax flower, and oyster shell, most botanicals sourced locally to the Byron Bay distillery where the gin is produced in small batches in a copper alembic pot still.

Papa Salt's initial run in Australia sold out within 48 hours with the brand since quintupling its capacity.

Papa Salt will be distributed through DrinksOne and available in the UK exclusively in-store and online through Harvey Nichols from 20 June for rrp £39.95. It is already available across Australia through Iconic Beverages.
