5th generation Torres to take helm

18 June, 2012

Spanish wine company Miguel Torres is about to usher in the fifth generation of its family to the apex of its business, following the announcement that Miguel Torres Maczassek will succeed his father Miguel A Torres as general manager from September.

Miguel A Tores will continue in his role as group president, while his daughter, Mieria Torres Maczassek, will maintain her position as general manager and oenology consultant of the group’s Jean Leon And Torres Priorat companies.

Miguel Torres Maczasseck will also continue to occupy the executive presidency of the Sociedad Vinicola Miguel Torres, the group’s subsidiary in Chile.

He was formerly the group’s marketing manager and also operated as general manager of Miguel Torres’ Jean Leon Winery.
