Ara appoints sales and marketing GM

Ara, the Malborough-based New Zealand winery, has appointed Matthew Adams to the role of sales and marketing general manager.

Formerly, head of marketing at Pernod Ricard New Zealand, with responsibility for the Montana, Stoneleigh and Lindauer brands, Matthew has 20 years of experience in the drinks business.

Christine Pears, chief executive of Ara said: “His experience in successfully building premium international brands is second to none following senior roles with Lion Nathan, Southcorp, Maxxium and most recently Pernod Ricard.
