02 December, 2009

Sweden: Purity vodka has promoted Claes G. Fick to the position of chief executive officer.

Fick joined the company in early 2009 as its chief operating officer and the leader of Purity Vodka's global sales and marketing.

Goran Bernhoff, chairman, Purity Vodka said: "Claes has in-depth experience with international consumer products throughout Europe, Canada, Latin America and the US, and as we continue to grow, the brand will benefit from his extensive industry knowledge.

"With his background in sales and marketing, he is the right leader at the right time to lead the global commercialization of the brand."

For the past two decades, Fick has been involved in all aspects of the various development stages for brands like Absolut Vodka, Del Monte, Plymouth Gin and Camitz Sparkling Vodka.

Fick said: "The company is embarking on an exciting time with the recent U.S. launch and it is an extreme honor to have been appointed CEO of Purity Vodka."

Fick will replace Thomas Kuuttanen as chief executive with Kuuttanen assuming the role of master distiller and responsible for production and brand development.

Currently in the US, Purity Vodka is available in select stores in California, Georgia, New Jersey and New York. Additional markets will be added as the launch continues in 2010. In the US, Purity Vodka is available in three sizes including 50 ml, 750 ml, and 1.75 litre. Suggested retail price for a 750 ml is $39.99.
