The distillery will be operated by father and son, Alfredo and Uziel Vazquez, renowned agave farmers and tequila producers.
The new facility will be powered by solar panels and wind turbines and the Vazquez family has committed to planting 300 additional trees in the area as well as ensuring the conservation of surrounding flora and fauna - the main events space and central hub of the building itself has been designed around an ancient tree.
The brand is also committed to the sustainability of Cazcabel’s agave plant with new agave planted every year and waste piñas dried and used to heat the distillery’s autoclaves.
The brand has also announced plans for a new bottle made from 80% recycled glass.
Cazcabel has enjoyed rapid growth in markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and the UK, last year shipping 200,000 cases outside of the Americas, and is forecasted to surpasses one million cases per year by 2025.
In 2022, the brand launched in 10 new markets including the US.
