LIWF move to Monday for 2013

30 August, 2012

London International Wine Trade Fair organiser, Brintex, has announced that the 2013 show will now start on the Monday, May 20 instead of the usual Tuesday. The three-day show will therefore finish on the Wednesday, May 22.

Brintex says this as a result of research and feedback from both visitors and exhibitors over the summer.

Exhibition director, James Murray, said: “we have had an overwhelmingly positive response that Monday would be preferable to Thursday. As a result of the change, we are expecting to attract a greater number of the on-trade as well as independents who tend to be quieter on Mondays and more able to leave their businesses to spend time at the show.”

Editor’s note: The switch to Monday means that the poor people who put up the stands will lose the Sunday and those exhausted from the show and a few nursing hangovers, will have to endure two days back in the office before they get to the weekend.
