Pernod Ricard’s Irish Distilleries, is to invest €50 million in Midleton Distillery over the next four years to deliver a carbon neutral operation by the end of 2026.

Drinks giant Diageo have had their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission targets, to achieve net-zero direct emissions by 2030, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as meeting the criteria for the 1.5oC pathway.

Diageo aims to cut its global carbon emissions by 50% by 2015, while Bacardi has published details of its environmental advancements.
