The appointment will see Temperley join the UK executive team and run London operations across specialist, luxury and on-trade accounts, as well as wholesale, cash-and-carry and convenience.
Temperley said: “It’s(EBS) home to so many leading premium brands and the team has built a formidable presence in the market already, so there are strong foundations to build on.”
As head of Reserve Brands, Temperley was responsible for the performance and equity of Diageo’s premium spirits portfolio in Great Britain and Ireland.
He also held roles as Diageo’s investor relations director, divisional finance director based in Amsterdam and innovation and commercial finance manager.
