London Wine Fair to preview wine harvest documentary

24 April, 2017

A new documentary film about the southern hemisphere wine harvest will preview on Monday, 22 May at this year’s London Wine Fair.

Vintage Sixteen is a 45-minute documentary by filmmaker Dan James showing the 2016 harvest across five countries: Australia; New Zealand; South Africa; Chile and Argentina.

The English filmmaker interviewed 40 winemakers to produce his debut film including Klein Constantia (South Africa), Grosset Vineyards (Australia), Escarpment (New Zealand) and Kingston Family Vineyards (Chile).

James said: “I wanted to create a unique wine film. My intention was to get as close as possible to the harvest.

“We came across some of the most beautiful landscapes and met incredibly hard working and passionate winemakers with such impressive knowledge on the subject of wine.”

The screening will be held in the Industry Briefing room at Olympia and will start at 5.00pm, followed by a Q&A with one of the featured winemakers,

Free tickets to the screening are available here.
