The 482-strong World’s 50 Best Bars Academy voted for more than 650 bars in this year’s poll, with only the top 50 to be announced at an awards ceremony on October 6 at Christ Church Spitalfields in London.
But with less than 50 days before the announcement, bars that finished in positions 51-100 have been named to recognise their notable achievements.
Hamish Smith, editor of The World's 50 Best Bars, said: "These bars may not have made the hallowed 50 this year but they deserve recognition. 51-100 is a really strong list, with a third of the bars having been previous members of The World’s 50 Best Bars and the other two-thirds possible members of the future. 27 cities are represented, as are bars across the gamut of styles, from hotel bars to speakeasies.
