The Philippines' Emperador heads top ten brandy list

The no.1 brandy in the world

Emperador brandy from the Philippines was the best selling brandy in the world in 2012, selling over five times that of global Cognac brands Hennessy, Martell, Remy Martin and Courvoisier.

According to Drinks International’s Millionaires’ Club 2013 the top ten brandy brands in the world were:

Emperador (31m 9-litre cases)

McDowell’s No.1 (10.9m)

Gran Matador (7.8m)

Mansion House Brandy (5.3m)

Hennessy (5.2m)

Honey Bee (5.0m)

E&J Gallo (4.0m)

Old Admiral (3.5m)

Dreher (3.3m)

Martell (2.0m)

Cognac brand Courvoisier sold 1.4m cases in 2012.
