No.1: Smirnoff

Smirnoff was the world’s best selling vodka in 2012, with more than double the annual volume sales of its nearest competitor, Absolut, according to Drinks International’s Millionaires’ Club 2013.

The top ten vodka brands in 2012 were Smirnoff (25.8m 9-litre cases), Absolut (11.4m cases), Khilbniy Dar (8.0m cases), Khortystsa (7.7m cases), Belenkaya (7.3m cases), Pyat Ozer (7.0m cases) Kristall (5.5m cases), Medoff (5.4m cases), Krupnik (5.1 m cases) and Czysta de Lux (4.3m cases).

Grey Goose was ranked 12th among the world’s best selling vodkas with 3.8m case sales in 2012, while Skyy vodka was 13th with 3.7m cases.

Stolichnaya was 14th with 3.4m cases, Finlandia ranked 15th, selling 3.1m cases, and Russian Standard was in 16th with 2.9m cases.

Diageo’s Ketel One (2.2m cases) and Ciroc (2.1m cases) were the 20th and 22nd best selling vodkas during the year, according to the Drinks International ranking.
