UK: Chambord in six-figure TV push

08 June, 2012

Chambord, the French black raspberry liqueur, has invested a “six-figure sum” in its first TV advertising campaign with a sponsorship of E4’s new US drama.

The Brown-Forman owned brand will sponsor ‘Revenge’, an ABC Studios drama starring Emily VanCamp ("Brothers & Sisters") and set in the modern day millionaire’s playground of the Hamptons.

The 22 one hour episodes will be aired every Monday at 9pm on E4 and aired on 4OD.

Chambord, in association with Duke and Earl, has created a series of idents to be aired around the programme. The three idents will be five, ten and fifteen seconds long and will be aired at the beginning and end of the E4 programme, and either side of the breaks; also at the start and either side of the breaks on both the TV video-on-demand and PC video-on-demand formats on 4OD.

The sponsorship deal, brokered by UM, aims to grow Chambord black raspberry liqueur’s brand awareness and usage among 25-34 year-old women and increase the brand’s visability.

Charlotte Ashburner, senior brand manager for Chambord said: “’Revenge’ is perfectly aligned with our brand and I am delighted to have Chambord showcased with this fabulous female-focussed show. The series has been a huge hit in the US and I don’t doubt that its glamour, excitement and fast pace will strike a chord with our Chambord consumers in the UK.”
