Bacardi appoints presidents

Bacardi has named Jon Grey and Robert Furniss-Roe regional presidents of Middle East and Africa, and Latin America respectively.

In their new roles, Grey and Furniss-Roe are responsible for the regional operations of Bacardi’s portfolio.

Séamus McBride, president and chief executive officer of Bacardi said: “Jon’s proven track record of business success, transformational leadership and innovation on a global level, as well as his industry knowledge and truly entrepreneurial spirit will have an immediate impact in this growing region for Bacardi.”

With Bacardi since 2005, Grey will continue to operate in his role as senior vice president of global operations.

Furniss-Roe, also an internal appointment, will continue his responsibilities in global sales and corporate communications alongside his position of regional president of Latin America.

Having been with Bacardi since 1989, Furniss-Roe has worked in a variety of marketing and executive management positions, and has experience in developing markets such as Russia and India.

McBride said: “With more than twenty years at Bacardi, Robert possesses an extraordinary mix of industry knowledge, business successes, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership effectiveness and expertise in both global and regional marketplaces.”
