Martini goes for Gold with Dolce & Gabbana

09 September, 2010

Bacardi Global Travel Retail has launched a new expression of its Martini vermouth. Martini Gold is a collaboration between Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana and the Martini brand.

The new blend includes saffron from Spain, myrrh from Ethiopia, ginger from India and bergamot from Calabria, Italy.

Dolce & Gabbana designed the packaging, which features a black gift box with the Martini logo and a gold plaque framing the Dolce & Gabbana boutique sign. The bottle is opaque gold.

The product is to retail at €23 in duty free.

Trent Russell, global marketing director, Bacardi Travel Retail Division, said: “The exact composition of the Martini Gold recipe is a secret only know to the artisan who crafted it. The visual campaign and consumer sampling promotion will bring a new level of glamour and sophistication to travel retail, the perfect shop window for exposing this super-premium expression to discerning shoppers.”
