O'ndina gin targets international expansion

11 September, 2018

Group Campari’s O’ndina gin is targeting international expansion through “sophisticated foodies and travel-dreamers” following its launch in the UK earlier this year.

O’ndina is a Mediterranean style gin launched by Campari in April 2018 to sit in the super premium category with a RRP£34 and bottled at 45%abv.

Nick Williamson, marketing director at Campari UK, said: “As a forward-thinking company, we are always looking to launch products that challenge category conventions.

“Our aim with O’ndina was to carve out a unique positioning in a crowded space by appealing to sophisticated foodies and travel-dreamers across all markets.”

The small-batch gin is made in Italy and uses 19 different botanicals and is said to have notes of basil, juniper, marjoram, fennel, sage, citrus, orris, and liquorice.

The recommended serve of O’ndina is a Gin & Tonic with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and basil garnish and it is also promoted for serving neat over ice and garnished again with basil.

“As we know, super premium gin is growing fast – not just in the UK, but internationally – and so we see a great opportunity for O’ndina globally now and in the future.”
