De Kuyper to market Beam Suntory brands

30 November, 2017

De Kuyper Royal Distillers has announced that it is to cooperate with Beam Suntory in marketing its brands in the Netherlands.

The agreement covers the brands: Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Sourz, Sauza Tequila and Canadian Club.

Manfred Jus, Beam Suntory’s managing director Western Europe said: “De Kuyper Royal Distillers is our partner of choice in the Netherlands. It is a very professional and dynamic family-owned company with a clear and compelling vision plus long standing experience in beverages. The team is very passionate about our brands and capable of bringing them to the next level.

De Kuyper’s CEO Mark de Witte (pictured) said: “Our vision is to ‘Own the Cocktail’ and this long-term distribution agreement with Beam Suntory perfectly fits into this vision and complements our existing assortment line-up. We want to be the best premium liqueurs and premium spirits partner for trade partners and bar tenders so that more consumers in the Netherlands can enjoy the best cocktails with spirits of De Kuyper.”

De Kuyper, which claims to be the world’s largest brand for premium cocktail liqueurs, says that with these key brands of the Beam Suntory portfolio in the Dutch market, it enhances its position as a leading premium liqueur and premium spirits company.

Recently, the company announced the acquisition of the famous Cherry Heering brand and at the Bar Convent Berlin, De Kuyper launched the new premium Cuban coffee liqueur, Bébo.

It says 2018 will feature a set of addition product and brand innovations.

“The agreement with Beam is a milestone for us that helps us to grow our sales, our team and to further optimise our portfolio. We are working hard on strategic partnerships like this, with brands which perfectly fit in the best cocktails and on innovations that drive organic growth. Both are in line with our long-term growth strategy and follow our vision to Own the Cocktail,” adds de Witte.
