Gin Mare is the first and only Mediterranean gin made from nest botanicals including Arbequina olive, thyme, rosemary and basil.
The competition wil take place from 3-6 September 2017 and national finalists will be tasked with presenting their ‘Gastrobartender drink’ as well as either a Mediterranean gin and tonic or their own take on the Mare Nostrum cocktail.
International finalists will then be invited to prepare what they believe to be the ‘perfect companion drink’ for their own Gastrobartender drink, at the Villa Mare in Ibiza.
Villa Mare will host the 2017 international final in the northern part of Ibiza where there will be seminars on how to mix Gin Mare Mediterranean Gin, tastings of the local cuisine from a variety of chefs and visits to the island’s most exclusive clubs.
