Angola beer Tigra to triple production

02 June, 2017

The Refriango Group has decided to invest €32m in order to triple the production capacity for its Angolan beer brand Tigra.

Refriango launched Tigra in April 2016 and the factory currently produces 60m liters of beer a year, but the decision to expand will also create 50 jobs within the company.

A Tigra spokesperson said: “Tigra is a brand that looks to the future with optimism and wants to show that it is possible to offer innovative solutions that continue to surprise, with a high quality product that wins consumer preference, in an estimated market of 800m liters.”

Tigra is produced at the Kikuxi factory, in the outskirts of Luanda, Angola which cost $50m to erect and in its first year, Tigra beer has invested $10m in marketing across all platforms.

Refriango says Tigra is a soft, ‘easy-drinking Pilsner beer’ with 5% ABV and is triple filtered.
