Diageo completes restructuring of South African operations

Diageo has announced that, together with Heineken and the Ohlthaver & List group of companies, they have completed the restructuring of their respective joint venture operations in South Africa and Namibia.

Diageo has received a total net cash consideration of circa ZAR 2.5 billion (c. £117 million) for the equity and debt positions Diageo sold in Sedibeng, the brewery in South Africa, Diageo and Heineken previously operated in SA through a joint venture in SA called Diageo Heineken and Namibia Breweries.
