Twelve contenders took part in the national final but Schofield took the title after impressing the judges with his Mother’s Milk cocktail.Tying into the competition’s theme of the evolution of London, his cocktail was inspired by 24 Milk Street, a residence previously incinerated in the Great Fire of London that was later home to renowned Victorian chef Isabella Beeton.
Joe Schofield said: “I am very excited about being part of the Global final – I know competition will be stiff but it will be a great opportunity to learn from the industry’s best. I am also really looking forward to seeing some of my friends who are representing their respective countries and I am immensely proud to be representing the UK.”
Schofield will represent the UK in the global finals in January 2016
