A New Zealand-produced vodka distilled from milk sugars has launched in the US through Leche Spirits.

The New Mexico-based company has introduced Milk Money Vodka to its home state and Colorado, with other mid-western states, including the Dairy State Wisconsin, Nebraska and Minnesota, to follow.

Priced at $19.99 for a 75cl bottle, Milk Money Vodka is twice distilled and has an abv of 40%

Ellis Visser, president of Leche Spirits: “Milk Money Vodka is extremely smooth, full bodied and possesses a light sweet finish. We’re hoping it will appeal to a wide range of individuals who enjoy a premium vodka, however, we will focus heavily on females within the agricultural community, aged 21 to 45 years.”

Packaging company Saxco International sourced a teardrop shaped bottle for the vodka to resemble a “classic old time milk bottle”.
