André de Almeida, currently at The Edrington Group where he is area director with responsibility for the Middle East & Turkey, domestic & duty free, as well as The Americas duty free business, joins William Grant as European travel retail director.
The position, which is effective July 16, will be based from William Grant's Glasgow office.
He previously looked after the UK and Ireland for Edrington. Prior to Edrington, de Almeida worked at Maxxium UK where he held several roles including leading the UK Prestige on-trade team and managing the Tesco business.
