Belvedere Bloody Mary arrives in the UK

03 April, 2012

Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy has rolled out its flavoured vodka Belvedere Bloody Mary to the UK market.

The expression, which launched in the US (US$37 per bottle) last year and Australia (AU$69.90) last week, has seen black pepper, bell pepper, chilli pepper, horseradish, lemon, vinegar distillate and tomato macerated in 40% abv Belvedere vodka for a month.

Bloody Mary joins a line of macerated Belvedere vodkas available in the UK, comprising Citrus, Orange, Black Raspberry and Pink Grapefruit.

With a recommended retail price of £35.99 for 70cl, the flavoured vodka is targeted at luxury retailers and grocers in the off-trade and style bars, gastropubs and members clubs in the on-trade.

Claire Smith, Belvedere master distiller, said  Bloody Mary contains “seven ingredients" which "provide its complex and rich flavour and aroma”.

To support the launch a number of cocktails have been developed, including the Pineapple Mary, a combination of pineapple, orange, lime, paprika and Belvedere Bloody Mary vodka.
