Auchentoshan has two new expressions

07 July, 2011

Morrison Bowmore has unveiled two new Auchentoshan expressions. 1999 Bordeaux Cask Matured and Valinch, a small batch release of the Classic expression bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered.

The Lowland whisky claims to be the only triple-distilled single malt scotch whisky.

About Bordeaux Cask, Auchentoshan senior Jeremy Stephens said: “Different wood finishes are becoming increasingly popular but it’s pretty rare to find a whisky which has been 100% matured in wine so this is something very special.”

He advises the 1999 be drunk neat or only with a small amount of water.

Regarding Valinch, brand manager Hannah Fisher said: “For years we have been asked to create a non-chill filtered, cask strength edition of the acclaimed Classic expression so we’re delighted we can make that happen.”
