Royal Salute accelerates polo drive

14 February, 2011

Scotch whisky Royal Salute has announced its sponsorship of the Sentebale’s Polo Cup in Dubai.

According to the Chivas Brothers brand, the sponsorship follows polo initiatives in Asia, South America, the Middle East and the UK and is part of a “growing commitment" to the sport.

The Sentebale Polo Cup was founded by the British Royal family’s Prince Harry and Lesotho's Prince Seeiso, in aid of vulnerable people in Lesotho.

Royal Salute’s association with royalty extends beyond the Sentebale Polo Cup; the scotch was first created in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953.
