Following a grant awarded to the charity by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation in July, The Benevolent is inviting bartenders and hospitality workers to their Minds Matter mental health workshops.

Ross Carter, who was head of London Wine Fair between 2013 and 2017, is the new chief executive of The Benevolent, the UK drinks industry charity. 

The Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) has appointed Jeremy Shepherd from Brown-Forman and Mark Riley from Edrington-Beam Suntory UK to its board.

The Benevolent, the charity for the UK drinks trade, has announced that a bike ride, in memory of Dan Townsend the Treasury Wine Estates’ European managing director who died in March while on business in Napa valley, raised more than £13,000.

Tom Yusef, chairman and joint MD of specialist logistics provider JF Hillebrand, is the new chairman of the Benevolent, the drinks industry charity.
