Zacapa targets theatrical serves in on-trade

29 July, 2019

Ron Zacapa has targeted theatrical drinking occasions to grow its presence in the on-trade through its recent partnership with Zuma.

The Guatemalan rum brand, part of the Diageo Reserve range, launched a series of cocktails with London’s Japanese restaurant Zuma in July called Zacapa-Zuma Ritual Serves.

The cocktails are served in pyramid-shaped glass boxes and filled with smoke to give consumers a theatrical experience and the series includes the Imox Negroni and the Cib Colada. Single serves are priced at £14 but they are also available as sharing serves.

Lorena Vásquez, master blender of Zacapa rum, said: “These cocktails will provide guests with an immersive experience like no other, allowing Zacapa’s exceptionally deep aroma, full colour and rich flavour to be enjoyed in all its glory.”
