Maverick Drinks brings Jerry to UK

08 October, 2018

Maverick Drinks has partnered with an online beverage learning platform called Jerry to bring the software to the UK.

Jerry was developed by Proof & Company, a leading craft spirits distributor and bar consultancy in Asia, as a brand agnostic alternative to modern beverage education.

Michael Vachon of Maverick Drinks said: “Jerry has the potential to really shake up how our industry learns about spirits, cocktails, service, and management.

“It's easy to use, full of practical information, and just plain better than anything else out there because it covers so many aspects of hospitality.”

Jerry represents the collective knowledge base of some of the bar industry’s leading global names including: Joe Alessandroni, Monica Berg, Michael Callahan, Christopher Lowder, Ethan Lui, and Dean Callan.

Maverick Drinks officially launched Jerry on 3 October with a masterclass at The Vault at The Ned, London where representatives of the software Dean Callan, Jason Williams and Chris Lowder hosted a live session - The Modern Bartender.

“Our goal with Jerry is to develop beverage professionals and empower owners and managers with an e-learning solution that makes the move to paperless training seamless,” added Jerry’s head of education Nicole Smith.

“The platform works for hotels, cocktail bars, restaurants and pubs alike.”

Jerry allows venue managers to plan their training online or choose from a library of activities and courses written by industry experts.

Jerry courses are organised by subject and are leveled in complexity from introductory, foundational, advanced, professional, and expert.

Jason Williams said: “The seamless integration of tech and real world activities, and the immense amount of customisation means staff will be presented with and actually retain knowledge, venue specific or otherwise.

“The structured training and time burden reduction for managers makes Jerry a hugely beneficial element of any modern bar program.”

Jerry is now available to individuals, teams and corporates in the UK.
