Cellar Trends announces management changes

03 October, 2018

Cellar Trends has announced the retirement of joint managing director David Marriott and director of sales Terry Barker (pictured).

Cellar Trends is a leading UK distributor and was founded in 1999 by Marriott and Martin Watts, with Baker joining one year later and the company now represents international brands including Stolichnaya, Faustino, Luc Belaire and Luxardo.

“Never has the description ‘legends in their own lifetime’ been more justified,” said Geoff Watts, son of Martin.

“When Cellar Trends was founded a mere 20 years ago, no-one could anticipate the growth and success that the company has seen, and David and Terry have been crucial to this.

“Whilst we know they will be missed, we are excited for the new phase of Cellar Trends and the long-term security we have in place, following the strategic partnership with Amber Beverage Group.”

Geoff Watts will take on the role of managing director and John Marriott, son of David, will become operations and personnel director while Katie Warren will assume the role of director of marketing.

Martin Watts will also take on the role of executive chairman and continue to represent the company on the management committee of Amber Beverage Group, who recently purchased a significant share in the company.
