Maxxium UK launches No 3 gin bartender competition

31 July, 2014

Ambitious UK bartenders are being invited to participate in a competition to create a fresh take on Jerry Thomas’ classic ‘Gin Cocktail’.

Maxxium UK, distributor of Berry Bros. & Rudd’s No. 3 London Dry Gin, to highlight No.3 Gin’s summer residency with ‘The Gin Garden’ at Kew, has issued a challenge to devise “an English garden twist” on this famed cocktail.

The judging panel will shortlist entries and arrange to visit candidates to sample their cocktail. The judges will then select one finalist from each of the following cities: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol, Brighton and London.

The finalists will then come to London on September 29 to compete for the following prizes:

- 1st place: Lunch with a friend in Berry Bros & Rudd’s private directors’ dining room, followed by No.3 martinis at the Dukes Hotel with complimentary tickets to a show of their choice at the Royal Albert Hall, with 5-star accommodation at Dukes Hotel.

- 2nd place: Lunch with a friend in Berry Bros & Rudd’s directors’ dining room, followed by No.3 martinis at Dukes.

- 3rd place: No.3 Gin goody bag including everything you need to enjoy a perfect No.3 Gin Martini.
