George Grant appointed to J & G Grant’s board

J & G Grant, owners of the Glenfarclas distillery, has appointed George Grant to its board of directors.

George Grant is the 6th Generation of his family to work for Glenfarclas. He joined the company in 1997, and spent two years working with Fine Vintage (Far East) Ltd promoting Glenfarclas in Hong Kong before returning to Speyside in 1999.

Since then he has had responsibility for promoting Glenfarclas in North America,Germany and the UK. Worldwide sales have grown by more than 75% in the last four years. Glenfarclas is now exported to more than 70 markets.

Chairman John Grant said: “It is a pleasure to welcome George to the board. He has done an excellent job in challenging times over the last few years, and we are confident that as sales director he will continue to grow our brand around the world”.
