Funkin has launched a new cocktail mix, Funkin Brazilian, ahead of the 2014 Brazil World Cup.

Available to global markets, the product is a blend of mango, passion fruit and orange juice, and ” Brazilian guarana seeds, which contain “twice the caffeine of coffee beans”.

Initially launching via funkin.co.uk and other online retailers in a 1litre pack (£3.99) this March, Funkin Brazilian will be available across multiple grocery and convenience outlets from early May in a 75cl pack (£2.99).

Among the recommended serves is Funkin Brazilian with vodka over ice; Funkin Brazilian with vodka and a side shot of Prosecco to make a Funkin Brazilian Pornstar Martini; or mixed with white rum to create a Funkin Brazilian rum punch.

Funkin CEO Andrew King said: “We’re launching Funkin Brazilian at a time when consumer demand for cocktails is greater than ever and this trend looks set to continue.

“With more and more consumers bringing cocktails into their drinking repertoire and as trends towards at home entertaining and the desire for new taste experiences continue, we are thrilled to introduce a bespoke cocktail concept, driving even greater excitement in the category.”
