US: Pernod adds Pineapple to Seagram's range

11 April, 2012

Pernod Ricard USA has extended the flavoured range of its Seagram's Gin brand with the addition of Pineapple Twisted.

The innovation, which launches to the US in the on and off-trade on June 1 in time for summer, follows the gin brand’s Grape Twisted, Raspberry Twisted, Apple Twisted, Lime Twisted and Orange Twisted flavours.

Pineapple Twisted carries an abv of 35% (70 proof) and will be available in 5cl, 37.5cl, 75cl and 1.75L sizes at a suggested retail price of $11.99 per 75cl.

Mara Washington, senior brand manager of Seagram’s at Pernod Ricard USA, said: “The introduction of Seagram’s Pineapple Twisted Gin further solidifies Seagram’s position as the true leader and innovator in the flavoured gin segment.”

“The combination of the sweet, juicy pineapple flavour and the delicious taste of Seagram’s Gin results in a distinct gin that creates uniquely refreshing cocktails and reflects our commitment to providing consumers with new, exciting drinking experiences.”

The launch will be supported by POS materials and sampling events to "draw attention and interest in the new flavour".
