Dubai: UK wine merchant gets duty free listing

Dubai: Wine merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd, will be selling its Own Selection wines in Dubai Duty Free by next month.

Dubai: Wine merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd, will be selling its Own Selection wines in Dubai Duty Free by next month.

The wines, including Extra Ordinary Claret and United Kingdom Cuvée Champagne, along with Berrys Own Selection fortified wines and others will make up the ten products that will be available in the Arrivals Hall Duty-Free Shop in Dubais new terminal building.

Alun Griffiths MW, Berrys wine director, said: Dubai is fast becoming a hub of fine wine and dining for sophisticated travellers coming from all parts of the world, so we are honoured to have been selected to sell our products in such a discerning and exciting growth market.

 Berry Bros & Rudd was approached by the airport at the end of 2008 and a range of Berrys Own Selection wines will be available to passengers flying in to the airport by the end of May 2009.
