UK: Chivas reviews its Plymouth gin business

20 July, 2009

Chivas Brothers is conducting a review of its Plymouth gin business.

The company is yet to formally announce whether this will lead to redundancies.

A statement from Chivas said the company is “conducting a review over the coming weeks to ensure the best structure is in place to continue to develop and grow Plymouth in the future.”

Chivas Brothers is the premium whisky and gin arm of Pernod Ricard. The company acquired Plymouth gin when it purchased former Absolut vodka owner Vin & Spirit in 2008.
