Vinexpo has announced that it will have appointed a new CEO before its flagship Bordeaux show takes place on its new date in May.

Following the departure of former CEO Guillaume Deglise, Vinexpo is yet to find a replacement but communications director Anne Cusson told Drinks International that the show will have a new CEO soon.

Vinexpo Bordeaux was traditionally held earlier in the annual calendar but this year it will take place from 13-16 May at Bordeaux Exhibition Centre.

This year Vinexpo will have five shows in different countries around the world with a new exhibition in Paris launching for the first time next year. The show in Bordeaux attracts more than 40,000 visitors each year and 2,500 exhibitors from around the world, making it one of the biggest wine exhibitions on the planet.
