Patrón Perfectionist’s Cocktail Competition returns

06 July, 2016

The Patrón Perfectionist’s Cocktail Competition has returned for 2016, and has gone international.

Bartenders from around the UK are invited to enter the UK competition, with Mexico, Australia, UAE, France, Spain and Italy also on the search to find their own local Patrón Perfectionist.

The competition challenges bartenders to invent a Patrón Tequila cocktail. The winning entrant will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Hacienda Patrón – Patrón’s distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

To enter the UK competition, budding perfectionists can enter online at http://patroncocktailcomp.com/. The official closing date is August 1.

The shortlist of the UK competition will be announced on August 2. The southern heat will take place in Reading on August 16, the Northern heat in Manchester on August 22-23, the Scottish heat in Edinburgh on August 5-6 and the London heat in Westminster on September 12.

Last year’s winner, Dean Shury from London's chic and trendy Chiltern Firehouse, created the ‘Providence’ cocktail (pictured), made with Patrón Silver, Dolin dry vermouth, homemade herbes de provence, olive soda, and garnished with an olive, a sprig of lavender and some lemon oil.
