Torres Maczassek, who is fifth generation of Torres, said: “Having been chosen ‘World's Most Admired Wine Brand’ for the second consecutive year fills us with pride and satisfaction and it is, of course, a recognition for all the work and effort of all our employees, distributors and the five generations of the family.

"Our commitment as the fifth generation, is to continue producing high quality wines that reflect even more the personality of each region and each vineyard, authentic wines and of great quality,” said Torres Maczassek.

Davis said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be able to present this award in person to Miguel himself. The award is richly deserved and I’m thrilled that our academy of more than 200 wine professionals voted for Torres.

“It is a company, still family owned and managed that has an rich history and tradition of winemaking while being forward thinking about important issues such as sustainability and climate change.

“Torres also happens to make great wines, both entry level volume brands such as Viña Sol and fine wines such as Mas La Plana and Gran Coronas,” said Davis.
