The William Grant & Sons gin brand says the Victorian-inspired bar will unveil a “quintessentially British garden overflowing with blooms, botanicals and bric-a-brac”.
Mr Fogg’s is a re-creation of the home of Jules Verne’s famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, and the new outside area is said to reflect the fictional character’s passion for gardening.
Hendrick’s says “guests will enjoy an elegant al fresco drinking adventure on each occasion with an enticing array of Hendrick’s gin cocktails.”
These will include: ‘A Symphony of Peculiar Deliciousness’ made with Hendrick’s, rose-infused jasmine tea syrup, Briottet bergamot liqueur, lychee juice and lime juice; and ‘We Have Them By The Junipers!’ - a mix of Hendrick’s, Isake sake, St Germain elderflower liqueur, apple juice, lime juice and fresh cucumber; ‘A Tale of Two Stills’ inspirated by the two copperhead stills used to make Hendrick’s, and includes matcha green tea, infused with Dolin Dry vermouth, Hendrick’s and peach bitters.
‘Berried Alive Since 1873’ is made with Reyka vodka, Briottet crème de mure, cranberry conserve, lemon juice, Monin butterscotch syrup and cherry brine.
Whisky lovers (Mr Fogg was supposed to like whisky), can get: ‘She Was Only A Whisky Maker…But He Loved Her Still’, a blend of The Balvenie 12 Year Old Double Wood single malt scotch whisky, Evangelista Ratafia liqueur, Mr Fogg’s sweet vermouth blend & Cynar liqueur.
