The third biggest champagne brand in the world behind Moet and Veuve Clicquot and number one brand in France has signed contracts with importers and will launch in the Indian market in 2015.
“India is a very interesting market. All the men drink scotch and the ladies drink sparkling,” Julie Campos, Nicolas Feuillatte manager director delege told DI.
“We are not neglecting any small markets. For a while we were behind in Japan, but we have been doing well in the last three years. We try to put this product in all the markets where people enjoy champagne.”
Nicolas Feuillatte broke a new sales record last year shipping a total of 9.9 million cases, a 7-8% volume increase on 2012.
Campos - who was announced as Dominique Pierre's replacement earlier this year - said this move will not mean that the brand neglects the traditional mature markets in Europe.
