Oak-aged Absolut Amber to launch this summer

21 March, 2013

The Absolut Company will launch an aged vodka called Absolut Amber this summer in selected US airports.

The Pernod Ricard division said the product would be made from standard Absolut vodka aged by oak barrels and chips.

It described the spirit as having the “purity and smoothness of Absolut and the distinct, refined character of aged spirits” and would interest “vodka, whisky, and rum drinkers”.

The liquid is said to be a “warm amber colour” with a “smooth, rich, slightly smoky taste”.
