US: Beam is to launch a rye whiskey under the Knob Creek brand this July.

The straight rye whiskey is bottled at 100 proof (50%abv) and it is the creation of Beam master distiller Fred Noe. It sits alongside Noe’s Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve.

The super premium Knob Creek brand was created in 1992 by Fred’s father Booker Noe, who was James Beam’s grandson.

The SRP is $39.99 for 75cl and there are no current plans to export the product.
