Islay.com domain to be sold on ebay

The owner of website domain name islay.com has announced that it will be sold on ebay.

German IT entrepreneur Clemens Dillmann, who hitherto ran the site for whisky enthusiasts, will auction the domain with a starting price of £0.99.

Dillmann said: “As I have no plans to continue in this market, it seemed best that the domain should go to a new owner and an internet auction seems the fairest way to find the right buyer.”

The auction will take place on February 10, under the item number 190497112612 and with a scheduled finish of 16.05.
