Oriole x baltra bar takeover

Oriole hosts Mexico's Baltra Bar

30 May, 2023

Cocktail bar Oriole, currently a resident at the mezzanine ‘Albie’ at The Hoxton, Southwark, London, is hosting Mexico City’s Baltra Bar, currently No. 32 in The World’s 50 Best Bars, on Wednesday 31 May and Thursday 1 June for a two-night takeover.

Baltra Bar’s Enrique Lezama has worked with Oriole’s general manager Jacopo Correnti and bar manager Samet Ali to design an exclusive menu in collaboration with Herradura.

The menu will blend styles from each bar, depicting the old-world glamour of Oriole, new world exploration of Albie and the ingredient-led cocktails of Baltra Bar.

Guests can expect drinks such as the Old George Sour which infuses Herradura Plata Tequila with cucumber syrup, basil, cardamom, absinthe and pollen.

Drawing on the migration patterns and habitats of its avian namesake, Oriole has been celebrating the ingredients and traditions of the Old World, the New World, and the Orient at its temporary home at Albie at The Hoxton Southwark following its closure in January.
